Human health depends on the quality of the air we breathe. In fact, people in urban areas spend approximately 90% of their time indoors (homes, offices, schools). However, indoor air pollution can be 5 to 10 times higher than outdoor air due to poor air circulation and the presence of internal pollutant sources.

These guidelines contain at least 20 catalogs of appropriate technology options that can be implemented, covering sterilization systems, air purifiers, and other innovations related to improving indoor air quality. Each technology in this options catalog is equipped with technical guidance covering material composition, installation methods, and technical illustrations or cross-sections; operational procedures including steps for safe and efficient use; and maintenance to ensure the equipment continues to function optimally.

These guidelines are expected to serve as a sustainable reference that can be utilized and whose implementation can be encouraged to realize a healthy and safe environment.
